LAKEWOOD VAAD BACKS DR. BOB LEBOVICS IN SENATE PRIMARY
May 13, 2026
Dr. Bob Lebovics has earned the endorsement of the Lakewood Vaad in the New Jersey Republican U.S. Senate primary. The backing comes from one of the most influential religious leadership councils in the Orthodox Jewish community.
The endorsement carries significant weight in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. There, the rapidly growing Orthodox community in Lakewood, Jackson, Manchester, Toms River, and Wall represents one of the most organized and reliably high-turnout voting blocs in the state. The community delivered strong results for Jack Ciattarelli and the Republican Party in 2025, and President Trump in 2024.
“I’m grateful to the Lakewood Vaad for their endorsement, and to Rabbi Moshe Zev Weisberg for organizing the meeting. This community showed up valiantly for Jack Ciattarelli and the Republican party in 2025, and it’s an honor to have them by my side as we head into June,” said Dr. Bob Lebovics in a statement following the endorsement.
The Republican primary for U.S. Senate is on June 2nd. Early voting begins May 26. Voters can find their polling place here. The Lakewood Vaad’s endorsement is among the most sought-after in New Jersey politics, and observers expect it to drive substantial primary turnout in Lebovics’s favor. The winner of the Republican primary faces off against Democrat Cory Booker, who is more concerned with running for President than he is in serving the voters of New Jersey.
